Well, the weather outside is frightful--but the view is quite delightful.

While Colorado Springs gets a lot of snow, it's all fresh snow, not that week-old brown slush you see in Utah.

See, since we're on the downwind side of the Rockies, the weather clears up the very next day. The snow melts immediately, and when the next blizzard hits, the snow's as pristine as the first.

After a clear-skies Saturday evening, a surprise 8 to 12 inches fell overnight on our little ranch house. Within just a few days, the ground wasn't even damp.

Today's photo was taken standing in our driveway facing the mountains. All you can really see, though, is Kay's abandoned tennis court. As always, click for a more impressive image.
